Today, is Bastille Day, and oddly enough is the day that I remember Manya the most. This was a special holiday that she and I celebrated throughout our lives. It all began in summer camp in 1966, when the camp residents decided to "behead" our counselors. From that day on, we either sent specially drawn cards or called each other up in celebration of the day.
Manya, darling, wherever you are, Happy Bastille Day.
