Dr. Who Marathon

On a whim, I started watching and marathoning an old BBC show called Torchwood. I completely fell in love with the show and the main protagonist (Captain John Harkness). I found out from xgirl30 that Torchwood is a an off-shoot of the Dr. Who series and Captain Jack Harkness, the character John Barrowman plays, originated in Dr. Who as well.

I am currently marathoning Dr. Who and as much as I loved the 9th Doctor, Christopher Eccleston, I ADORE the 10th Doctor, David Tennant. I can see why he is the favorite doctor of all 11 incarnations of the Doctors.

My next episode will be Season 3, Episode 11, "Utopia." This will be the first episode wherein Captain Harkness and the 10th Doctor meet. Of course, in Season 1, Captain Jack had encounters with the 9th Doctor.

I'm really looking forward in seeing how the Captain will react to the new Doctor. I heard that David Tennant and John Barrowman had great chemistry together.

I think that after I finish marathoning Dr. Who, I'll rewatch Torchwood . There was a lot that I missed having had no knowledge of the Dr. Who series.

Both Torchwood and Doctor Who are great shows.

I love the 10th Doctor. David Tennant was just great in the role. (Not that I don't like 9 and 11 too.)
I'll be interested to hear what you think about Matt Smith's Doctor. (Eleven is kind of quirky but I found that I really like him.)

Have you watched Children of Earth and Miracle Day or just the first two seasons of Torchwood? Both of these 'seasons' are a good bit different than the first two. I thought they were really good though. (It seems a lot of people didn't like Miracle Day. I really enjoyed it.)

I watched Children of the Earth, and I liked it. It was a sad series because it meant that Torchwood was over. Netflix doesn't have Miracle Day, but, not too long ago, I bought it in iTunes. By then, though, I was already marathoning Dr. Who. So I will watch Dr. Who till I catch up and then restart Torchwood from beginning to end.
