My rating: 2 of 5 stars
Holy Cow, it took me almost two months to read this book, It was not because it was a difficult read. It was because I had to drag myself to read it. The book was, dare I say, the plagiarized version of the memoir that Mrs. Lincoln's dressmaker (Elizabeth Keckley) wrote back in the 1800s. The wording was changed here and there, but I could have saved a lot of money by getting the Kindle version of Mrs. Keckley's book for free and having the satisfaction of reading the real McCoy. My advice is for you not to get this book. I love historic novels and anything that is about the Lincolns, but this book is just not worth it.
